Fire Protection Causes Water Damage in Naples Attic

A sprinkler system is an excellent way to protect a Naples property, however, when one malfunctioned, it left a large amount of water damage in an attic. Because attics can have dirt and dust present, the techs can put up containment to keep any debris that gets stirred up during mitigation locally in the room. The fiberglass insulation soaked up the water and required removal. SERVPRO techs have a special vacuum attachment that allows them to remove the insulation for drying and reuse. After removal of the insulation and water extraction, the technicians dried the attic space deploying both air movers and dehumidifiers in the space. Once dry, the techs wiped down the affected areas to leave them clean and ready for the reinstallation of insulation.
